If you find yourself unable to authenticate to or login into a website that is normally working for you, try cleaning up any stored settings that your Chrome web browser has from your previous history.
Incognito check
A good way to check if stored settings in Chrome are the cause of your problem is to open an Incognito window and try going to the website in that. If it works in there, then the below process should allow you to get it working in your normal Chrome window.
Here are the steps to clear cookies and other settings related to a specific website:
- Go to this URL in Chrome:
- chrome://settings/content/all (you may need to copy this and paste it into Chrome)
- Use the Search top right to find the website you want to clear
- Best to use a shorter search term as many websites nowadays use multiple versions of their domain names to serve different pages from their site. e.g. "zoom" is better than "zoom.us"
- Delete that site's data using the Trash can icon
