Setup a New Windows Computer

These instructions guide setting up a new or reset Windows PC for JustWorks IT management. Steps include selecting language and region, connecting to the internet, choosing "Domain join instead" to create a local admin account named "jwmanage," and skipping personal details. After reaching the Windows desktop, install the JustWorks IT management agent via the corporate login portal. Finally, keep the computer powered, connected to the internet, and notify JustWorks to complete setup.

    3. Enter this name: jwmanage

This should leave you at a Windows desktop screen.

Install the IT Management Agent

Once you have completed the Windows setup, and connected to WiFi/Internet you will need to install the management agent so that a JustWorks technician can complete the rest of the setup processes.

  1. Open the Edge web browser and go to your corporate Login portal
    • login.xxxxx.com (where xxxxx is the Internet name for your business)
  2. Login as yourself
  3. Search for the Install I.T. Agent app and click it - this starts a download of the agent
  4. If permission is required to complete the download, approve it.
  5. Locate the downloaded installer file in the Downloads folder or click the name of the file in the browser's list of recent downloads
  6. Run the installer
  7. Give the installer permission to make changes to your computer

You will not see any other changes on the screen but after a while a JustWorks icon should appear in the system tray (bottom-right).
