If you find Adobe Acrobat app running very slowly on your computer, especially when typing into Text Boxes when editing a PDF, try this fix.
- Open File > Preferences
- Preferences is off the Edit menu in older versions of Acrobat
- Select the Security (Enhanced) category
- Uncheck/Off all the boxes that refer to Protected Mode, or Enhanced Security
If this makes Acrobat run at normal speed then it is fine to leave those features disabled.
